May 8, 2018 | Wolcott, New York – SnapDragon and RubyFrost, the newest apple varieties to come out of New York state and two of the best-tasting apples on the market, will be featured on the Lifetime Network’s morning lifestyle program, The Balancing Act, on May 15th.
The Balancing Act segment features several Crunch Time Apple Growers (CTAG) who share the SnapDragon and RubyFrost story, some insight on their farming practices as well as the Crunch Time cooperative story – the largest group of growers in the State of New York.
“Crunch Time Apple Growers is a unique co-op of 145 growers across the state. CTAG produces over 60% of the apples in the New York. The vast majority of our farms are family owned some going back 6 and 7 generations,” Joel Crist, Crunch Time Board Co-Chairman said. Crist, at 30 years old, is a 5th generation farmer and one of several next-generation farmers who are moving the industry forward.”
